Creative Business Endeavors

2008

The Avala Organization: In the spring of 2008 I created and pursued a non-profit startup artist management group called The Avala Organization.  The organization’s goal was to promote musical artists within the environmental non-profit community in order to strengthen that community and further their environmental initiatives. With a complete business plan drafted, I networked on a national scale and proposed the idea as a collaboration with several non-profit groups in the Portland, OR area.  The organization saw success in the short term through concerts at community events, and also an album release party at Orlo’s(see below) 15th Birthday Party in December, 2008.  For a variety of reasons, I decided to pursue other interests in February 2009.
